Baume - Mercier
It’s no surprise that brands change and evolve over time. I guess a brand is only as good as the perception that the product creates. I know many people simply think of a watch as a means of telling the time, rather utilitarian in nature. For others, it is a status symbol or a piece of fashion. But for me the 1952 Baume and Mercier watch that my father passed on to me, is a symbol of much more. It’s a rose gold 38 mm watch on leather strap with a perfect patina on the dial. Somehow knowing this Baume & Mercier has a history connected to it and that history is related to you, seems rather cool. Now I think about my watch collection as pieces that I could eventually leave to family (hopefully no time soon) and continue the legacy.
